Rethabile Leanya

Rethabile qualified as a social worker (BSW) from the University of Cape Town in 2015. She has an interest in the field of mental health and employee wellness. She is currently studying towards her Masters degree in Occupational Social Work (part-time) at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. Her MA qualitative research project is looking at the recovery experiences of mental health service users as employees in a psychosocial rehabilitation centre. Her research experience was gained during her time as a data clerk/research assistant at the Centre for Infectious Disease Epidemiology and Research (CIDER) division in the Health Sciences Faculty, University of Cape Town. During her undergraduate social work training, she worked as a school social worker at Norma Road Primary School and as a social work intern at the South African National Council of Alcoholism and Drug Dependency (SANCA).
